Hebrews 12; 18 - 29. This is a great text: we are in such a better position than the ancient Israelites to trust in God's good will towards all who turn to him, and of his ability to save. The flip side is we have so much less excuse if we turn away from him. In the middle I digress a bit to talk about what it means for us that God framed the Ten Commandments to echo a Hittite suzerainty treaty.
